Specialist Lab was founded by James Ferguson after experiencing the recruiting process firsthand as an international athlete pursuing college football in the United States.
Growing up in Australia, James navigated the challenges of developing as a specialist, earning exposure, connecting with college coaches, and ultimately earning opportunities to compete at the NCAA Division I level.
Throughout his career, he trained alongside elite specialists, competed against some of the nation's top talent, attended major showcase events, and gained a deep understanding of what separates athletes who get recruited from those who get overlooked.
Today, James combines that experience with modern technology, film analysis, AI-powered coaching tools, recruiting education, and personalized development systems to help the next generation of kickers, punters, and long snappers maximize their potential.
Specialist Lab was built to provide athletes with the roadmap he wished existed when he began his own journey.
